My name is Carrie and I personally know what it feel like to be out of shape. Check out this picture of what I used to look like as a teenager...

I had let myself go.
I had let eating and a lack of exercise take control of my life and totally dominate how I live every day. Not only did it control me at school (my social life, happiness, fun -), it also affected every other area of my life...

I had taken my health, my fitness and my body for granted. And they gave me back a poor quality of life...
...every day I would wake up with the same body...the same life...and the only thing to look forward to was eating.
I knew I could do better. I knew there was more to life than just food.
With some insight from my mom I decided it was time. Time to finally get the body, health, and life I deserved.
I promised myself, "I am going to lose this weight and show everyone I can do this." I didn't really know what I was doing at first. I just knew I was motivated and ready for change.

| I Was So Desperate I Tried Everything... |

- I slaved away on endless hours of mind-numbing cardio. Waking up early every morning to work out on a treadmill.
- I tried all sorts of strange eating patterns and diets (all the latest). Low carb, no carb, low this, low that, low the other. (All completely wrong, which I didn't know at the time). In the end all they did was hinder my results by slowing down my metabolism.
- I would do double days of cardio and weights one right after the other. 7 days a week. Making me grumpy, irritated and completely frustrated with all the effort I was putting and and still no results.
- I even tried a few different workout gadgets and ab gizmos that were bought for me. Yet again not a single ounce of results. In the end they were better house decorations than actual worthwhile equipment.
- I was literally driving myself silly and obsessive with doing the wrong thing.

I had dismissed my absence of results as a sign of bad genetics. I thought, "oh well, I guess I was just cursed with bad genetics, I guess I'll never get fit and have that body like I'd always wanted."
I was ready to give up and accept my lot in life of being a "heavy" person.
I just gave up. I was done.
Still deep down inside me I knew there had to be a way.
Something I was missing, something I was doing completely wrong. I wanted to find out what those "insider secrets" were.
I knew if I dedicated my life to achieving my fitness goals I could and I would.
I was just finishing high school and went on to University. I changed my major from Science To Kinesiology and set out on my quest for my best body possible.
I invested the next 4 years of my life into continuous study. Spending literally hundreds upon hundreds of hours studying, reading, learning, digesting the information out there. I even expanded my single major into a double major, including Health Promotion & Wellness.
